Holy Family's Family
Welcoming
all of God's People
|
Holy Family is a small, active, English speaking congregation
composed of members who come from many traditions, but worship
in the liturgical Anglican/Episcopal style. The ministry of Holy
Family is non-stipendiary, and therefore more than 50% of its budget is
assigned to caring for others. The church is involved in various
outreach programs, which include academic scholarships for needy
children in the Monterrey area, food and medical assistance, and
more. Through prayer, study, fellowship, and caring for each other,
we really are one "family". Because of our size, it
is easy to get to know people and to participate in various church
activities. We have at least two or three "Pot-luck" lunches where the
whole church family comes together in fellowship.
The church is located in Mitras Centro, at the end of Av. Los
Leones East. (See location map) Our service, which includes Holy Communion
every Sunday, and healing service the last Sunday of the month, is at 11:00
a.m. The children have Sunday School at the same time and join
us for the last twenty minutes. Please call Rev. Peter Hutchison, or
Rita Hutchison (52 818 303-4252, or write hutchiso@intercable.net)
.
Peter Thomas Hutchison
Born in 1944 of British family, but has lived in Monterrey since
1978. His priesthood is non-stipendiary and he was ordained to the deaconate under
special canon, in 1987. One year later he was ordained to the priesthood. Peter is a fervent believer in the shared participative
form of ministry at Holy Family and its "hands on"
approach in its outreach ministry.
